Oh hey.
Today was a very bizarre day, stranger than most. Why was it bizarre? - you may ask.
Well, that's a very good question. Nothing completely out of the blue happened today - I didn't encounter God, or suddenly wake up to find myself in a life I didn't recognize. No, if anything, it's been quite the opposite. Today I woke up, to find that I finally liked who I was.
You at this point must be completely baffled. Why would you start a story at - the end?
Truth be told, I don't completely know. But I do know that I have had a lot of clearing up to do in the past, and that today, now that I finally feel like I'm proud of who I am, I can share my story.
Because that's what you base your life on. Stories. Tiny little insignificant stories. But what happens when they all leave?
That's what I'm here to discover. What happens when you let go.
This year, I have decided to do three things about my life:
1. I am going to cut out all unhealthy foods from my life
2. I am going to learn to let go of my past and embrace the present moment
3. I am going to write about it
Now don't get me wrong, this won't be some down and dark depressing story about a girl who gets pregnant and then must work three jobs to support her family. No, I'm more interesting than that. Let's just say, that if you stay loyal to what I'm doing here, you will begin to develop new ideas about yourself. New faiths, maybe even turn your life around a little. I don't know. But that's what I'm planning to do - maybe I can help you do the same. And if you don't want to change - so be it. I'm not here to be a preacher, we have enough of those.
I'm more of - the mirror. Another looking glass if you will. And don't get me wrong, I understand that I'm not very important in the big scheme of things, no one is. But even I, the average 16-year-old girl from Canada, would like to help. Somehow.
This is my story.
